Sima Hitch
Don’t pick up hitchhikers
by Stephen Schleicher
When Sima’s Hitch arrived at my door, I was interested in the claims made on the package: transfer music and files from iPod to iPod, camera to camera, camera to iPod, or iPod to USB device. The advantage of the Hitch being one does not need a computer to move files from one device to another. Read article

Rapid-Fire Roundup® of Cool Products

Buffalo 2TB Home Server
With tons of movies you’ve download, it is a pain to transfer them to another computer sitting in your home theater. The Buffalo 2TB Home Sever is a massive hard drive that connects directly to the network, allowing you to access your pr0n anywhere in the house.

CyberLink MagicSports
CyberLink MagicSports software scans recorded video of sports broadcasts and can somehow tell when the game gets boring, cutting out the commercials and the slow parts and saving just the touchdowns, homeruns or goals. It makes baseball actually watchable for $50.

Mimoco Chewbacca USB Drive
It’s been what, two weeks since I mentioned a USB drive? Mimoco, the company that brought us the Mimobot USB drives, now has Lucas approval to unveil a line of Star Wars USB drives. Out of the gate is everyone’s favorite walking carpet in 1GB, 2GB, or 4GB configurations.

Jammin' Johns Guitarlet
Jammin' Johns Guitarlet is a toilet seat that looks just like a guitar made out of natural wood. You can also get a variety of matching accessories for it, or choose one that looks like an electric guitar or even a piano. Heck, you could have your own toilet orchestra. It's $99.

Lego NXT
Lego has always been a company to develop young minds, and it continues that tradition with NXT Technology. At the heart of the system is a small computer, and when you connect Lego parts and program the system, you get to build your own Robot Overlord! How cool is that?

Siemens Porsche Toaster
The Porsche Toaster looks like a brushed aluminum aircraft wing but cooks up a couple of slices of toast to perfection with its special electronic memory system. For only the most discriminating kitchens, it's $221.

Five Mile Laser Pointer
Let’s say you are giving a presentation to a lot of people in a huge auditorium. How do you point to your PowerPoint presentation so everyone can see? You use the Five Mile Laser Pointer – what else? This green laser can indeed shoot a beam of light for five miles. Probably better suited for activities other than meetings, like freaking out your neighbors who live three blocks down.

Peit Hein Drink Cooler
This Peit Hein Drink Cooler is a shiny stainless steel ball with a super-secret liquid core. You put it in the freezer for an hour and then it chills down that drink faster and longer than ordinary ice -- without watering down your drink. It's $30.

Faux Security Camera
If you are too cheap to buy a real security system, the Faux Security Camera might be a deterrent for would-be thieves. It’s an exact replica, even down to a coax cable and blinking LED light.

MacBook Pro
Finally the MacBook Pro has a Core 2 Duo chip inside, and hopefully Apple's slowpoke six-week-late release of these updated notebooks gave the company time to fix that mooing noise problem and persistent shutdown issues. Not sure if the company has done anything about overheating problems, though, where Apple reps are saying their laptops aren't really meant for anyone's laps, anyway.
