The Upravlator from the Art.Lebedev Studio is a control device that's about the size of a small monitor but has a 16 buttons on it. Behind each button is a tiny LCD screen into which you can place any video you choose. It's just a prototype now, but everybody's eagerly anticipating what these Russian designers will do next. No release date has been announced.

iRecord is a one-touch unit that lets you record your favorite TV shows and movies directly to your iPod or PSP without needing one of those pesky computers to crunch away at the footage. Adjustable Measuring Cups
Two adjustable measuring cups are now available from the Museum of Modern Art, with sliding rubber knobs that let you measure amounts as big as a half a cup with the larger cup, down to anything less than two tablespoons with the smaller one. Plus, they have a magnetic backing so you can stick them onto the refrigerator. The set of two is $33.
