Qualcomm has released a new version of its Eudora email software, version 7.0 (Windows-only thus far,  $49.95 for a 12-month subscription, or free for Sponsored Mode with advertisements, Mac package is currently at version 6.3), that has a rather short list of new features for a full-point release. Rapid-Fire Roundup® of Cool Products

Earmuff Headphones
It's cold outside but you probably still want to listen to that iPod. Keep your ears warm and listen at the same time with these ear muffs that contain a high quality pair of mini- speakers. They are packed with fleece, ThermoLite and Polartec to keep your ears from freezing, and the JVC speakers nestled inside sound crisp and clean. At $35, they’re quite a deal for those blustery winter days.

Sony PCM-D1 Portable Audio Recorder
Here's a portable recorder made out of titanium that's about the highest quality audio device you can hold in one hand. Yes, it proves that Sony actually can do something right. The PCM-D1 records 24-bit audio onto a 4GB internal flash memory chip. No moving parts, highly sensitive condenser microphones, and its circuits process perfect stereo sound with no extraneous noise. Hook it up to your computer via USB 2.0. This is as good as it gets, but for $2000 you'd better be pretty serious about your audio.

Wireless BBQ Temperature Probe
Charlie has actually used this product, and for just $40, it's just downright excellent. Insert a temperature probe into your steak or chops on the grill or in the oven, and then go ahead, relax and have a seat. The remote unit tells you the temperature of that meat from anywhere else in the house. For cold winter barbecuing, you can't beat this.

Celestron Skyscout Portable Star Finder
Using GPS and magnetic sensors, the Skyscout allows you to sit out on those cool evening star gazing and learn while you are doing it. Point the device at a star, and it will tell you the name of the star, and other interesting facts.

The Fly Pentop Computer
Using special paper you can do a lot of cool things with this pen. Draw out a calculator and the pen will recognize the content and do math for you. There is even a module where you write out the English word and the Fly Pentop computer will translate it instantly into another language.
