PIC A DAY – November 14, 2014

I have a lot of GoPro cameras.

I picked up my first GoPro  Hero in 2011 and another shortly after when I taught a video production class on shooting 3D video and GoPro just happened to have a 3D rig that worked wonderfully.

When I purchased my first DJI Phantom, I picked up the first of the Hero 3 cameras, then three more over the course of of 2012-2014 for some Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee type productions.  Not to give everything away, but a previous Pic a Day entry necessitated two more GoPros that could be triggered remotely, and with the super low light Night Lapse feature, I now have two GoPro Hero 4s.

That’s a lot of GoPros, but these cameras are rugged and while prepping this post, I pulled out the original GoPro Hero and it still fired up.  Love these things, and can’t wait to show you some of the new stuff I’m working on.

Stephen Schleicher

Stephen Schleicher is one of those guys that has always loved comics but never got into them until really late in life - like high school in the 80s. He just missed the Crisis on Infinite Earths, but has been around for every major crossover since. Stephen knows his way around video and film production having been a director, producer, editor, and motion graphics artist for projects ranging from small promotional pieces for Wachovia all the way up to regional videos for the Division of Emergency Management. As a prolific writer, Stephen began his career writing for the Digital Media Online community of sites, including Digital Producer and Creative Mac covering all aspects of the digital content creation industry. He then moved on to consumer technology, and began the Coolness Roundup podcast. A writing fool, Stephen also freelances for the Sci-Fi Channel's Technology Blog. When not writing, Stephen shares his knowledge as a tenured faculty member at Fort Hays State University. Still longing for the good ol' days, Stephen launched Major Spoilers in July 2006, because he is a glutton for punishment.
