A few years ago, my friend Paulo got me hooked on an Anime series called Lain. I've always been a fan of Japanese animation. Paulo then got me hooked on obtaining original Anime cels that were used in the production of a particular show. Here are some of the ones I have obtained so far. Finding a cel of Lain herself is not that difficult, however they are very expensive ($800 and up in some cases). As you can see, Mika - Lain's older sister is one of my favorites. My other favorite Anime series is Cowboy Bebop. Faye Valentine is a great character and I have been trying to collect as many of the CB cels as I can. Unfortunately, they are very expensive and cels of Faye are very rare. Most of the ones you find now are very small full body shots. I was lucky to get this shot of Faye in her Casino outfit from Episode 2. My most prized cel so far.
Most of my Lain cels were obtained from a guy in California. After my last purchase (Lain's Family), he drew this interesting image on the outside of the large envelope the cels came in.
Based on the cels I have here, you probably now know why three of my computers are named the way they are.
