I have a lot of GoPro cameras.
For the last several months I’ve been flying drones a lot. The most recent has been the DJI S900; a monster of a drone that caries a Lumix LX-7 camera that can capture HD video or 10MP still images. This morning I took the drone up, and with FHSU student Ken Moreno, we took still images of possible university use.
Yesterday they began the teardown of The Center for Media Studies (formerly Heather Hall) on the campus of Fort Hays State University. Since the mid-80s, Heather Hall served as the campus television and radio station, and hundreds of graduates entered those doors and emerged as news and media professionals.
I enjoy building things with LEGO, and love all the sets the put out. Today I sat down with the Ecto-1 set (#21108) that was suggested by a LEGO building and made its way into production. This means I also had a chance to pull out the camera to take some shots.
My wife bought me a MakerBot Replicator 2 for Father’s Day (I get to play with it early because the box it came in said MakerBot on the outside). Tonight, while I run through a print or two, I thought I’d grab the camera and see what I could come up with.
The last time I did a Pic A Day was in 2012, and truth be told, though I take a lot of pictures, I haven’t focused on the craft of taking those pictures. My goal for the rest of June is to take a share a photo, give some background on the picture that was taken, and improve my skills.
Today, it is a food pic.
