Podcasting: The Gear We Use

Since 2005 I’ve been podcasting my thoughts to the world.  It started with The Coolness Roundup that I co-hosted with Charlie White, and has since grown to include seven weekly shows on the Major Spoilers Podcast Network.  Over the years, the gear that I use to record podcasts has changed, but for the last four years, I’ve settled on a couple of different setups for the various shows I produced.

Editing movies with the iPhone

So, I finally broke down and purchased an iPhone 4.0 this weekend.  For a couple of years now, the household has wanted to move away from the Blackberry Pearl to the iPhone, simply because the iPhone is more media friendly than the Blackberry.  Don’t get me wrong, the Blackberry is fine when it comes to instant messages, and email, but surfing the web, taking pictures, and trying to listen to podcasts are like pulling teeth.
